Ideal 55's Bodega Contador

Wine Dinner

 

 As 2018 comes to a close, Ideal 55 is thrilled to invite you to our very special wine dinner with Bodega Contador on December 6th, 2018 at Tesse Restaurant in West Hollywood. A stunning new restaurant venue, amazing Spanish wines, and a Master Sommelier guiding our evening…what more can you want?

Bodega Contador began in 1995 as the passion project of the famed Artadi winemaker, Benjamin Romeo. A true “garagiste”, Benjamin began this project in a centuries old cave carved out of the rock beneath the Castle of San Vicente de Sonsierra in La Rioja Alta. As the wine world began to take note with serious reviews and high scores, Benjamin expanded production, and in 2001 the rising star of the Spanish wine world converted his parent’s garage into a small winery. Within a few more years, Robert Parker had anointed his 2004 and 2005 Contador bottlings each 100 points. With collectors across the world enamored by these modern styled Rioja reds, Benjamin moved to build a winery in San Vicente, and in 2008 he unveiled his state of the art facility. The lineup has since expanded, and we’re fortunate to have nearly all of his stellar wines, including the coveted Contador, represented for our exclusive wine dinner.

Ideal 55 is beyond excited to welcome Master Sommelier, Peter Neptune (MS, DWS, CWE) to our curated evening. He holds the wine industry’s most prestigious title and is a true legend in the wine world.  He is a consultant for some of the best hotels and restaurants around the world, and is the owner of the Neptune School of Wine. Watching this showman present wines to a room is a luxury and true pleasure. Those of us who have seen it can only attest to how amazing it is!

Tesse Restaurant has quickly become a darling of the LA restaurant scene. Helmed by chef Raphael Francois and backed by legendary LA restaurateur Bill Chait, Tesse is turning out delicious European continental inspired cuisine in a gorgeous setting.  We will dine in the private space that is Boutellier, the restaurant’s beautifully modern wine shop curated by sommelier Jordan Ogron.

This is a confluence of fantastic things that would be a shame to miss.
